Client

Hollybrook is a family owned developer/contractor, successfully delivering projects since 1987.  Their portfolio consists of new build, redevelopment, refurbishment and listed conversions with properties over the UK, Ireland and the USA.

Scope

Trigon was appointed by Hollybrook to deliver fire safety strategy input during the design and construction phase of this luxury residential development at Osiers Road, London.

Once finished, this new development will include three residential towers with heights between 29m and 41m and 168 units. Alongside two levels totalling 40,000 sq ft of commercial units linking all towers.

Our fire safety strategy includes using fire engineering methods including Computational Fluid Dynamics modelling to provide evidence that the proposal meets the Building Regulations 2010 functional requirements.

Results

Trigon's advice has allowed greater architectural freedom (such as open plan apartment design) and a more cost-efficient design without compromising on the safety of occupants.

Our fire engineers developed a bespoke fire safety strategy for the basement level. As part of this fire strategy we proposed using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling and detailed fire load assessment of individual plant rooms to demonstrate a high level of protection from the project specific fire safety hazards. Trigon worked with the client and design teams from the early design phase up to construction to support successful completion of the project.

“Trigon provided a comprehensive fire engineering service for our project at Osiers Road delivering clear technical expertise on a challenging project, providing reports and responses in a swift and timely manner.“ Jonathon Broscombe, Hollybrook,
