Great Marlborough Estate is a boutique residential development company, focused on delivering high quality projects in central London. 

Scope

Chiswick High Road is a new prestigious project in the heart of Chiswick, West London.  Trigon was appointed to review the fire safety arrangements of this new development.

Designed by Assael Architects, the development involves the repurposing and extension of an existing office tower and cinema complex to a residential scheme overlooking Turnham Green.

Furthermore, the scheme includes the development of several other residential blocks and town houses.

Results

The project presents several fire safety arrangements including the navigation of the legislative and regulatory changes since the original scheme development, as well as the challenging site restraints and boundary conditions.

Various bespoke smoke ventilation strategies have been applied for different block and corridor configurations to address the specific needs of the project. This varies from smoke ventilation principles being in line with standard guidance recommendations, through to bespoke fire engineered ventilation options to optimise the impact on layouts and architecture.
