Croydon Park Hotel

Croydon Park Hotel

Client

Amro Flemen Croydon Limited

Scope

Trigon was appointed to work with Garnett Netherwood Architects (GNA) and a design team to refurbish the Croydon Park Hotel, which was left derelict after going into administration in June 2020. The new hotel will include co-working, gym, and social spaces, as well as newly refurbished bedrooms across ground plus 5 storeys.

Our responsibilities included:

  • Liaising with the design team to provide initial high-level comments on the proposed design.

  • Developing a RIBA Stage 3 (Spatial Coordination) Fire Safety Strategy report to support the Building Regulations approval application.

  • Responding to comments from the Registered Building Control Approver to ensure that they were satisfied with the final design.

Results

Trigon produced a fire safety strategy that supported the client’s vision for the hotel while demonstrating how the functional requirements of Part B of the Building Regulations would be met.
