Scope

Trigon was appointed to develop a retrospective fire safety strategy for a recently constructed self-storage facility, located within an existing retail park unit.

Our responsibilities for the entire fire safety strategy include:

• Review of existing fire safety strategy information and undertaking a non-intrusive site survey,

• Developing a strategy that described the key fire safety features within the building, including egress arrangements, compartmentation, firefighting access, and active fire safety systems.

• Support the Responsible Person to understand the physical fire safety arrangements and strategy within the building, and to assist them in discharging their various duties in support of the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

Results

Trigon worked closely with the client to retrospectively develop the strategy, and to ensure that all parties fully understood the overarching building approach to fire safety that is critical in ensuring that the facility is appropriately managed on an ongoing basis.
